Summerhill take the points at Millbrook.

Summerhill 5-20 Oldcastle 3-9
The Oldcastle squad was severely depleted by injury and absences ahead of today’s (Sunday, 24/2/2019) AFL Div. 1 clash with Summerhill in Millbrook. They took the first score however, a nice ball worked upfield by way of Darren Hawdon and C.J. Healy, on to Paddy Rahill and Oran O’Reilly, back to C.J. and in to Rory McHugh who tipped it in nicely to the waiting Colin Hawdon for a great point. That however was to be the last time Oldcastle were in the lead: at half-time it was Oldcastle 1-02, Summerhill 2-10.

Lazarus was needed in the dressing room again today, but he missed the call and never appeared. Summerhill put another seven points on the board without reply at the start of the second half, but Oldcastle battled on and added some of their own, including a lovely goal from Lee Healy.
