Oldcastle 3-7 Kilmainhamwood 3-7

This U-13 FL game played Saturday (19th September) in Millbrook was definitely a game of 2 halves and one which either side could have stolen late on.

Despite been under a lot of pressure Mark Coyle grabbed a well taken point. The Oldcastle backs were well on top with Darren Connell and Dj Monaghan cutting out a number of attacks.  James McCluskey and Conor Smith were taking control around midfield and both chipped in with points. The second half was a different affair with Kilmainhamwood taking control. They gradually started to eat into the Oldcastle lead. Oldcastle missed a number of chances and this unsettled them. With minutes to go Kilmainhamwood hit the front and went 3 points up.  Ryan Kevin grabbed a goal for the home side to level the game and this seemed to kick start them however this turned out to be the final score as a number of late chances were wide of the mark.
