Oldcastle into Corn na Boinne Semi-Final with win over St Ultan’s

Oldcastle booked their place in the Corn na Boinne Semi-Final by defeating St Ultan’s in Millbrook on a bitterly cold and windy Sunday (12 Feb.2017) morning.

Oldcastle took advantage of a strong wind and dominated the first half scoring to lead 2-5 to 3 at half time all of Ultans scores coming from Mark Allen frees.
Oldcastle started well against the stiff wind getting the first points of the half before Shane Mulroe scored a point from play.
Ultans started to get a lot more possession and Mark Allen finished to the net after a great pass from Ronan Breslin. Mark Allen completed the scoring for Ultans with 2 more frees, but Oldcastle finished strongly to advance to the semi-finals.
