Cavan set up final spot against Dublin

Cavan booked their place in the Gerry Reilly Cup Final with an impressive display over Meath in Rd.3 played in Millbrook, Oldcastle on Sunday evening.
Cavan got off to a flying start with points from Arron reilly & Oisin pierson. When oisin Pierson got Cavan’s first goal, it was always going to be aan uphill battle for Meath. Cavan went on to add 3 points to their tally ( (Niall McCabe, Cormac Timoney & Oisin Pierson).
Meath registered their first score in the 10th minute, a Saran O Fionnagain pointed free. Meath had a shot on goal wide of the target and Cavan responded with 2 points on the trot. Meath had more chances, but failed to score, while again Cavan added two converted frees.
The crucial score just before the half was when Cavan got their second goal when Ronan Patterson found the Meath net.

Meath upped their performance, but scores were hard to come by. Cavan added 5 points to their tally, while Meath scored 1-3 in the second half.
Meath had many goal attempts including two that came off the posts. Both teams had made many changes in the second half, but Cavan always looked in control.

Cavan now met Dublin in the Gerry Reilly U-16 FT Cup Final on Sunday, 25 July in Millbrook, Oldcastle and will be all out to retain the Cup.
