Div. 1 Win for Skryne

Skryne 1-10 Oldcastle 1-05

Another two points eluded Oldcastle yesterday evening when they made the jaunt up to Skryne in search of an elusive ACFL Div. 1 win. Oldcastle were the better in the first half, with a lovely Lee Healy goal boosting the lads, and the half-time score was Oldcastle 1-03, Skryne 0-05.

The home-team piled on the pressure in the second-half however, and took some great scores, all the while defending superbly and thwarting the Oldcastle attacks. A mere two points in this half wasn’t enough for Oldcastle, and they will need to win their remaining two matches to keep Div. 1 status.
